It's was a great first day at WWDC 2022 and there's plenty to catch up on. Here's a quick recap of all the biggest announcements from Apple's annual developers conference.
As expected, Apple started things off with a bang, announcing a slew of new features and updates coming to its various operating systems. Perhaps the most anticipated announcement was the release of iOS & iPadOS 16. This new version of Apple's mobile operating system introduces a host of new features and improvements, including a redesigned home screen, support for Widgets, a new way to access windows for the first time on the iPad and more.
For Apple Watch users, the big news is the release of WatchOS 9. This new version brings a number of much-requested features to the wearable device, including the ability to track sleep and a new workout modes.
Last but not least, Apple also announced the release of MacOS Ventura. This new version of the company's desktop operating system introduces a host of new features, including support for touchscreens, a redesigned dock, and more.
Apple’s new M2 chip was introduced and will debut in the new redesigned MacBook Air and also placed in the new 13in (same design) MacBook Pro.
